The Angkor Restoration Project

The Angkor temples and monuments were my first big project. Photographed during 1992 when Cambodia was nearly empty of visitors allowing for a unique access opportunity often being joined only by my guide, a single cow and the occasional military personnel for securty . Of course it was all shot in film. Now, three decades later efforts are being made to properly restore , clean and curate over 350 negative images. This collection provides a glimpse as to what Angkor was like prior tom the three decades of restoration that followed peace coming. The project includes Angkor Wat, Banteay Sre, the Bayon Temple, Lo Phram and other assorted ruins. A long term project continuing a piece of work on hold for 30 years.
